Previews are great considering the hybrid release. That said last week ramp up of presales was mediocre. It could be due to hybrid release. Looking at friday even with meh walkups it should hit 35m with previews. May be even high 30s. Let us see how it goes.

Pretty great. Peacock is such a non factor that it probably didn't even make a difference

Even if it's crazy frontloaded and "only" did a 50M weekend with those previews, and drops 90% next weekend, it will still have made more than I expected when I picked it as a replacement in the draft in April.

DHD was saying Cinemark walkups in the south was huge for Hispanic and Latino, with 42% of the audience vs 38% Caucasian. 13-24 was a massive 75% of the audience.

As frontloaded as this will be it seems like the Friday could become something very massive!

How high does this need to open to guarantee 100m? 60m?

60m is locked. I would say 65m just to be safe. its going to crash hard next weekend.

Eras - 2.65m thursday. Really good hold. Its having previews like 3 weeks in a row :-)

Wow that is way up from the original $7M projection!

So, contrasting this to Haunted Mansion, is the play for studios to stop making family movies that are kinda spooky and just make horror movies that are accessible to kids?

Deadline really early Friday number is 34m. Let us see if it goes up from that or not.

It's looking like 30+ for Friday without Thursday. An estimated 41 Million for Friday with them. According to Jatinder on X.

A $41M Friday the weekend before Halloween?!

October only had its first $30M+ OW in 2002 with Red Dragon's $36.5M. Scary Movie 3 brought it up to $49.7M in 2003. Top OW was Gravity $55.8M only topped in 2018 by Halloween and Venom.

Between Taylor, Freddie, Joker and Joker 2, this month is getting some really impressive OWs!

It's all the more impressive with the fact it was available on streaming AND lots of Halloween parties still happen tonight though Sat will be the bulk of it. Maybe it could have pulled $50M Friday in normal circumstances.

Charlie is saying 41m. As I said before Friday was looking like a huge break out. Saturday looks like dropping hard from friday. That is why he thinks 75-80m range for the weekend despite huge OD. Still considering Universal's stupid decision of going day and date on peacock, this is amazing. Its looking likely that it out opens Marvels, Hunger Games and probably everything else rest of the year :-)

Good for Josh. He has acted regularly as a supporting star that hasn't necessarily got to anchor or recognized in a big blockbuster himself. He's also in The Beekeeper so maybe that can benefit from this overperformance from his presence somehow though that's a Jason film mostly.

Journey To The Center of the Earth, Polar Express, Hunger Games are his only $100M+ movies which he felt like a supporting actor in so feels like Freddy's could really have a major impact on his ability to get bigger lead roles.

39.5 million for Freddy’s opening weekend, wow who could’ve guessed this breakout a few months ago?

Wait, that’s opening day...

Even if it plummets it still gets 75m OW and 150m total.

Killers dropped hard enough that I can’t see it do 100m even with Oscar season.

A disappointing run for sure but hopefully good enough films if it’s type stay theatrical.

Only 1 drop in the top 14 from holdovers under 52% (Exorcist). Moon should stabilize maybe next weekend but a 3.5 hour committment with all these Halloween parties make it very hard to fit a movie into the schedule.

78m is pretty absurd. This performance definitely makes me feel out of tune lol I did not know anything about FNAF besides seeing pictures. We'll never know if this would've done closer to 100m without Peacock, so dumb.

This was a surprise to see. I know it's a popular name and has been for some time now to build and build on an audience, but dang. Was an audience breakdown released? Interested to see how young it skewed.

And yeah, why did it debut on Peacock too?
