There's an irony that the pandemic originally caused family and adult skewing films to recover slowest while the formulaic comic book movie fans came back in droves only for that narrative to switch around this year with overperformance in family and adult skewing films. I feel a lot better for the long term viability of those other categories and super hero movies were so overexposed for a decade going to really need to have some fresh perspectives to reawaken moviegoers' imaginations and interest to rush to see them.

Or just bring RDJ back and begin anew.

Maybe try superhero movies with smaller more relatable stakes. Like Ruffalo Hulk finally gets his own movie, but it’s just about personal stuff like his post Nat romantic life and battling with his other self or something. It could fail, but at this point so could the other way.
