Surely with the return of the Saw franchise name and Jigsaw it's got to out-gross Spiral, but how well will it do? Is Saw even a franchise that today's young moviegoers care about?

Spiral ended with $23 million, and I just don't see how Saw X doesn't reach that, but I'm not sure how much more it will earn considering it opens a whole month before Halloween and has The Nun II and A Haunting in Venice, plus smaller fare like The Kill Room and Satan Hispanics catering to horror fans for September and The Exorcist: Believer and Five Nights at Freddy's catering to them in the lead up to Oct 31.

I'm sure it can still make money but maybe it also gets lost a bit being the never-ending franchise that hasn't felt fresh for more than a decade.

Don't see why this does more than Saw VI, maybe inflation, franchises have mostly not fared well this year, so I'd go with over Spiral, but not more.

Evil Dead Rise and Insidious: The Red Door have managed to do well as established horror franchises this year, so I think Saw X could maybe get to $45-50 million. I'll be conservative and say over Jigsaw.
