No idea what Sound of Freedom is, but it debuted to $14.2m on Tuesday. Whoever chose it in the draft lucked out! ![]() |

People who want to watch movies, but are boycotting the Hollywood Elite, but like buzzwords like Freedom? |

It's a thriller about child trafficking that is being heavily promoted in conservative circles. I believe it was also at Fox when it completed production in 2018, shelved by Disney, and now being revived independently. |

If that somehow found a way to outgross The Flash it may be the most interesting box office moment I've ever seen. $15M budget and grossed $14M in 2 days. |

... so I see people giving away free tickets to that movie on social media and it links to the studio's website and to provide your zip code... very fishy. |

I don't even know what to make of this number. Will it finish with $20M? $40M? $60M+? Any one have guidance on this one? |

Political groups just inflating the numbers on their propaganda even though no one is actually seeing the movie? It's what they've been doing in the book sphere for years now, wouldn't surprise me. |

People are watching it, they just haven’t had to pay for it |

The number does seem too high. It would make sense if it was shenanigans like "donors" buying them and giving them away to make it a story, or future days tickets stacked onto one day. |

That's the thing. If it opened to like $3.5M we'd all be very impressed and use it as another example of an underserved audience turning a low budget drama into a hit. $14M opening day though? Fuck off with that. ![]() |

I so want it to be true but it's not in line with the current box office narrative of everything flopping with a massive budget down the drain. ![]() |

Can I get someone to buy about $200M worth of tickets for an Ant-Man 3 rerelease? I'll let you have part ownership of my draft game team. ![]() |

Hypothetically if Disney gave IJ5 a $150M budget and then gave away $150M worth of tickets wouldn't it be better off overall? Especially if they got tax benefits if given to charities. Same with Batgirl, if they gave away tickets to charities for instance to see the movie vs taking the whole project as a write down? |

That’s a rough drop for Indy right? I guess it’s drop today will be minimal as it will keep its plf screens. Mid 20s second weekend still likely |
