7.5m previews. Seems like 60-70m is still where it ends up. Don’t see it going below or above |

it can definitely slip to high 50s. Yesterday walkups were meh. If that continues it will have high teens true friday and that does not lock 60m. 70m Wont happen for sure. I would say 58-63m range for its OW. |

$60mish was what I was expecting. If they do somehow manage to do 2 more films I think the drop off could be ugly. They should just do a big finale next film to wrap it up. |

Would be good numbers all around! Keep the Guardians sub 50% drops coming! |

Mario could be at $549M by the end of the weekend and there's a holiday in Canada so Monday should be solid to get it to $550M. Mermaid is coming in but looking like it could at least do $570M+. Likely won't be able to keep up the 25% holds but could get some business May long weekend to help prop up its total. Fast is disappointing but not unexpected. The global story is really compelling so far so not sure domestic even will matter much in the end. This franchise just keeps printing money. Great for Guardians. With a solid hold next weekend, setting up for a very respectable total given the underwhelming opening. |

I thought it was the best Guardians, and honestly one of the best Marvel movies. I was very surprised. Not that I hated the other two movies in the series. I liked the first and the second was OK. I just didn't think I cared about a third movie. Glad I saw it. |

Fast X should be close to $70m and Guardians 35m. Pretty good. |

I think F10 did enough to where it's not a bad #. And with some people being back for the next one I think it should manage not to fall off with the next one. |

GOTG3 would only need a 3.55 multiplier from this weekend on out to get to $350M. Lots of competition but it's not impossible. If it gets to $355.24M, it will have achieved something only 7 other MCU movies have done, a 3X multiplier: Spider-Man: Far from Home $390,532,085 $92,579,212 Jul 2, 2019 4.218356114 Guardians of the Galaxy $333,176,600 $94,320,883 Aug 1, 2014 3.532373631 Black Panther $700,059,566 $202,003,951 Feb 16, 2018 3.465573631 Iron Man $318,604,126 $98,618,668 May 2, 2008 3.230667504 Ant-Man $180,202,163 $57,225,526 Jul 17, 2015 3.148982204 Spider-Man: No Way Home $804,793,477 $260,138,569 Dec 17, 2021 3.09371071 The Avengers $623,357,910 $207,438,708 May 4, 2012 3.005022139 Sad looking at this and seeing how much Ant Man as a franchise turned from being one of the leggy favorites to despised. GOTG is ending on a high note. |

F9 also benefited from being the 1st big opener that summer and by then all seat restrictions were removed. So open marketplace is a big plus but make part of the audience were still hesitant. |

Inflation aside of course, still crazy that the 11th installment in a franchise is still possibly 70% higher OW than the 1st installment, 39% higher than the 2nd installment and 192% higher than the 3rd installment. How they turned things around from Tokyo Drift (to have almost all 8 movies match or surpass Drift's total box office of $62.5M in their opening weekends 8X in a row) is legacy building in itself for the franchise in Hollywood. That would be the equivalent of us saying Shazam 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10th films will all open to $58M+. ![]() |

Evil Dead Rise has held up really well. To think they were going to send this straight to HBO Max. I would love to see it reach 70 Million. But I'm thinking it ends around 67 Million. |

Yeah Evil Dead will sell nearly as many tickets as the 2013 film which adjusts to 70m. Very good. Hopefully it gets a sequel |

Much like Guardians, this opening looks decent just because of the doomer prerelease expectations. Hopefully it holds as well as the G-Men in the weeks to come. Great drops for the two big films. Lol at Book Club. |
