They’re marketing this movie wrong. The trailer should be 30 seconds long and the TV promos should be 10 seconds. They’re literally throwing every single scene at you, making it painfully obvious the movie is terrible, and you’ve already seen the whole thing for free.

This is often the case with movies. They put 2.5 minute trailers online with all the best bits when what they need to do is keep things hidden. It's why I rarely watch trailers now, and if I do I usually stop watching after a minute or once I get it.

Showing too much in the Cocaine Bear trailer will guarantee it attracts one demo, which is the 18-25s.

The first trailer was great and I figured it'd become a huge meme movie.

The 30 second tv spots have been very confused. Is it a comedy? A horror? A sci-fi channel "we're making this bad on purpose" type of movie? Whoever is editing these spots doesn't seem to know.

I think good reviews, a 70+ on meta, will go a long way. People want to want to see Cocaine Bear but not if its gonna be unironically terrible.

I think the movie will actually turn out pretty good and get good reviews. But I think it's going to do poorly. The TV spots have been terrible. It doesn't even look remotely like a horror movie in some of them. In those there's no hint of the bear going on a killing spree.

I haven't seen the Super Bowl ad. I'm hoping that one is good. Hopefully it shows up online soon.
