Fast X
Let the boxoffice speculation begin! Huge Superbowl trailer just dropped. It has a gargantuan budget (probably tops for 2023 films). Fast X is part one of a two-part chapter for what will be the last installment of the Fast and Furious franchise. Re: Fast X
Jesus, I hate these movies. It looks like absolute feces. I'll go $230 million.
Let me guess; Momoa will team up with Dom in Fast 11.

Re: Fast X
These movies know how to pull in audiences and as the second last one in this series at least it's going to do well. The last one did $726,229,501 in May 2021 and $173,005,945 domestic just as vaccines were starting to roll out. Definitely see a strong chance at $1B+ again here.

Re: Fast X
These movies are garbage. I quit watching after the sixth. So annoyed they had to add Brie Larson because now a part of me wants to see it. I still don't think I will though. I'm not catching up with this series just for that.

Re: Fast X
The first movie was the best. Point Break in the street racing scene. It actually works.
4,5 and 6 were ridiculous but are ok for passable.
After that - trash.
That said - this will see a bit of an uptick over the last one. $200-$220m.

Re: Fast X
When I was a teenager I thought the first was awesome. I liked the next two as well but to a lesser extent. I found them bad starting with the fourth and now the series as a whole does nothing for me. I'm also not on board with the insanely over-the-top ridiculous car action scenes. I'd take something a bit more low-key but much more thrilling like the finale of Death Proof over the insane stunts of the Fast & Furious series any day.

Re: Fast X
I think it likely that even with a $340M budget + marketing costs, Fast X will make a profit. It performs well OS. The franchise is veering close to parody (unrealistic physics, space scenes, etc.) but people eat it up. They love it. *shrug*

Re: Fast X
Lies and slander in this thread. Fast Five, Six and Furious 7 are all great and that's why this series has continued on. The last three haven't been as good, but they all had excellent action scenes with characters people like and have positive ratings on rottentomatoes.
This one will probably make around $200M/$900M as F10: The Fast Saga would have in a non-covid timeline.

Re: Fast X
290M views of the trailer in the first 72 hours.
Despite following the same formula each time we know its going to be massive.

I go to see them with friends as a tradition so will aim to see this too even they are way OTT these days. Death Proof is underrated QT IMO. Love it.

Re: Fast X
Yes, I love it, too. I never got the indifference to it from most people. It always lingers around the bottom two or three in everyone's QT lists.
