 Hangover 4 or Austin Powers 4? I don't know, the series completely diluted itself, but I think a part 4 could totally Fast n Furious itself. Add more stars, it's basically the new cannonball run. I think a ten year or whatever the year it is anniversary is good for 500WW. Its this or Austin Powers
I think Powers was a legit lighting in a bottle franchise. While it could see a 50+ opening, I don't think Meyers has it in him anymore, which is why I think Hangover can survive the actors in it.

Re: Hangover 4 or Austin Powers 4? Austin Powers at least has multiple decent movies, and a longer time since the last film.
The Hangover had one good movie.
Austin Powers would do way better

Re: Hangover 4 or Austin Powers 4? Yeah, AP is much stronger as a trilogy, and it should be easier to tap in the demand for a return of the character. The first Hangover is a classic, but after two sequels already, I don't see anyone waiting for another.

The Hangover was great, but its sequels fizzled out.

Austin Powers 4 would rip. $100M opening if they nail the marketing.

The last Austin movie was just 9.5% lower admissions than the film's peak (AP2). Meanwhile The Hangover kept going downhill 63.7% lower admissions than the film's peak (Hangover 1). Feel like Austin has also dated much better than The Hangover has. Hangover was also way oversaturated with 3 movies in 5 years vs an extra year for Austin.
Austin has also done a good job to stay relevant with the Dr. Evil SNL open 8 years ago (5.7M views), a 2022 General Motors Super Bowl commercial with Dr. Evil, and a few appearances by Dr. Evil on Jimmy Kimmel 5 years ago with millions of views.
