I dont want to bet against king jim. So I am expecting Avatar to win domestic and WW. OS wont be close. Avatar is a monster everywhere. |

I've gone with TGM domestic and Avatar WW. I'd prefer TGM to win both offcourse but very unlikely. |

I could see Avatar having a noticeable dip in overseas grosses for the same reasons people are anticipating it to do so in North America (plus, the impact of exchange rates). I think it will fall short Domestic, but honestly who knows. Is Cameron just a magician? Avatar should easily take Worldwide. |

A2 will enjoy essentially 10 weekend days from the 23rd through the 1st. It's hard to doubt Cameron but TGM domestic will be a high bar. |

Early tracking is pretty promising from what I'm seeing, nice distribution throughout the weekend makes it likely for a strong IM. TGM will go down for sure WW but I think it's going down DOM too. |

I think it's going to be really really close. Avatar having all of December entirely to itself will help a lot. I think it will be at over $500M by the end of the year. Then it has January to itself as well. |

Can we just give him an Oscar already? It's moments like this that just solidify why TGM was a phenom in our special effects heavy era with its throwback to real stunt work. Also, the tie ins with MI continue. I came here too late to vote. I wanted to see how Avatar 2 did in China despite Covid shutdowns. Even with China's problems, a global first weekend (including some shows on Wednesday) of $441 million clearly hints that world wide box office will go over $1.5 billion. However Tom Cruise will win the domestic box office over Avatar 2. The length of the movie (about 1/2 hour longer than the original Avatar) doesn't help Avatar 2's prospects and the fact that Top Gun 2 had the whole summer of kids away from school versus Avatar 2 only having part of January hurts Avatar 2's weekday box office. |

I feel quite comfortable after seeing the Monday to say that TGM has domestic in the bag in all likelihood. International is a toss up with Avatar as the favorite but it's not a 100% lock either yet. |
