Super Pets had to put in an estimate $19.5K higher to claim #2 after TGM went out with its estimate. What losers. :funny:

TG2 still being 2nd/3rd is pretty amazing

Black Adam not opening in August is silly if it was finished.

Seems like many missed opportunities for the next 2-3 months (incl August)

Prey, Thirteen Lives and Orphan 2 should have also gone theatrical.

Black Adam may still be big in October because the next 8 weeks are as dismal as can be in terms of releases. The BO will be substantially down on 2021 over the next two + months until Wakanda opens.

Top Gun Maverick
#8 2nd weekend of all time,
#10 3rd wknd,
#2 4th wknd,
#3 5th wknd,
#2 6th wknd,
#4 7th wknd,
#4 8th wknd,
#4 9th wknd,
#4 10th wknd,
#6 11th wknd,
#4 12th wknd
*Only counting a film’s wide release weekends so only Titanic, Avatar and Home Alone have bigger 12th wide wknds.

If Maverick stays at or increases with actuals then it's indeed the 4th best twelfth weekend, but My Big Fat Greek Wedding is so close with $7,145,309 that it might fall just below with actuals.

I see you're sticking with the #6 for its eleventh weekend then. It's definitely #7 at best, maybe even #8.

In this marketplace, Nope's 37.6% drop is verging on bad. But it will be able to save face and eek its way to a higher total than it would have if August was full of bona fide wide releases.

I'm really impressed with Where the Crawdads Sing's run. It's quietly leggy like The Black Phone's run. And they're both original movies, which is nice to see. One will finish with $80 million and the other with $90 million. Then there's The Bad Guys with $96 million. What a great year for original product.

Top Gun 2 has a chance to get to #1 on Labour day weekend. I think the Invitation will beat it the week before.

TGM continues to have an eerily similar run to its predecessor from 36 years ago. :noway:

TG #1 weekend 1 and 4, then #1 weekend 19 in September, 15 weekends later.

TGM #1 on weekends 1 and 2, possibly back weekend 15 in September, 13 weekends later if that does indeed happen!

Greetings good sir. Are you counting week #16 as MBFGW's first wide release?

Separate note: Were you on BOM's threads during MBFGW's run? It was fun tracking it. It sort of crept up on us...someone posted something along the lines of "hey guys, umm...this movie is showing amazing legs" ...it was probably 10/11 weeks in....and then more of us started paying attention to it.

Superpets just needs a 96X weekend to total multiplier for the rest of its run to catch up to TGM. :funny:

Titanic all over again. Wow.

I see the weekend tallies. I look over to the Weekends in Release column and the #2 movie is in its 12th weekend!

I think I need to do another boxoffice reaction video when this is all said and done.

Yes. Over 600 is wide for me.

I was around since 2000, but I don't remember much back that far. I remember following Driven's box office run, and that was 2001. I guess I was mostly only following films I liked.

It's such a wonderful thing to behold. Its drops should be low for the next few weeks, too.

If The Invitation, Three Thousand Years of Longing and Honk For Jesus all make peanuts, it could be number one on the 26th or 2nd
