I think it could have had a pretty nice Superbowl ad. Over or under Bullet Train?

It would have required a large marketing spend, and it already cost, like, $250 million to produce, but that's besides the point ... it would have done well putting Gosling vs. Captain America. But it would have needed to be marketed like that, which it isn't right now playing just on Netflix. I think it could have made $60 to $80 million theatrically. It's a weak market right now, especially for action.

It was bad, so it probably would have done better than Ambulance since it looked a lot better, but not that much better.

Gosling and Evans have had a dodgy box office track record at times. Feel like it probably would have done a First Man type run, maybe $40M-50M. No real unique hook to propel people to see it in theaters. The team up in itself isn't enough.

Tough to say. It's not getting a $200M budget in theaters that's for sure. And The Russos aren't really a draw to people who haven't seen the Modern Warfare episode of Community.
Yet this summer has shown major Disney fatigure and this could have benefitted just by being different. I think Bullet Train is heading for around $25-30M opening weekend and this would probably have done the same.
But the real what if is Netflix releasing the final two episodes of Stranger Things season 4 in theaters for a month before putting it on their service. I think that's a $100M opener easy. It's definitely been the biggest thing in pop culture this summer, even more than Maverick.
