Thor has already come out here yesterday and just don't feel the buzz. Sure it will still do big numbers by normal movie standards but sub $150m is likely. Plus reviews aren't stellar either and from what I've heard (and expect) its a load of fluff with too much comedy which is not surprising. |

Well, it looks as though my lead has been all but wiped out. This will go down to the final film, DC League of Super-Pets, and rftapeout clearly has the advantage as it looks to be a big opener rather than a small one. Ah well, at least it went down to the wire. |

I make it $56.2 million or higher for rftapeout to win. The middle ground of our Super-Pets predictions is $54.75 million, and I'm $2.8 million ahead (so a $1.4m buffer), so it has to be higher than the $53.4 million you stated. |

Still, I don't think it will make a huge difference. With the great reviews, I expect Super-Pets will see a $60+ million opening. Would be fun if it was a photo finish, either way. |

Congratulations Algren for winning the June/July contest. If it's accurate that DC League of Super-pets had a Thursday box office of only $2.2 million, its opening weekend will be less than $30 million. |
