Uh... yeah this isn't doing that much more than a Mission Impossible movie unless older audiences really show up. Even then I don't see how this opens to more than $60m. |

Older audiences will show up. This is probably the most anticipated film this year for most people my age. Though I’m thinking close to $80m-100m 4-day at this stage. |

Reviews are raves so far and it's supposed to be a big crowdpleaser. At the same time, pre-pandemic even MI franchise has only done $61M at best. I can see this play throughout the summer and reach a big total compared to a massive OW out the gate. $80M 4 day would be a win but could cruise ( ) to $250M+

This is more likely than the other club. It's tracking at 95-130m. I'd lean toward the lower end and say 95m OW |

I'm kinda shocked; BO's projected opening is $95-130m... I feel like I have gone insane lol but I just don't see how that's possible. Will be glad to be wrong but that sounds really farfetched to me. |

I really have a hard time seeing a Tom Cruise movie open to more than like 60 mil 3 day, it seems like he has a ceiling. This will be interesting movie to predict in monthly contest. |

The constant delays have actually benefited Top Gun: Maverick. Thanks to ole Vladdy's antics on the other side of the globe, there's now a huge market for a rah-rah military film to unite the western world. Clint Eastwood usually fills that spot, but since he doesn't have anything ready, Tom Cruise is gonna have to be the hero we need. $150M opening is still way too high, but I'll be much less surprised by a huge breakout than a flop. |

I do there is appetite for a war film, I keep seeing WW2 and Vietnam war movies near the top of Netflix most popular since the Ukraine thing started. |

its easily setting new OW record for a cruise movie. Presales started today and its way stronger than Jurassic World 3 presales start. Its looking extremely strong. i think 4 day OW > 100m should happen. But 150m looks too high. |

PS is super strong and more important I am see reviews from early viewers who are calling this best of legacy sequels !!! So I am switching to INN. Now I am thinking 150m(4-day)/400m+ domestic. It's gonna have an 88 day theatrical window like NWH as well. Will really let it leg out if it gets well received as people are expecting. |
