EmpireCity is saying 24.5m. Should be good enough for 80-85m 2nd weekend. Not bad at all.

Plus international holds have been stellar as well. This looks to hit 1B WW. i would say 550 Dom /450m OS

An 80m first weekend would've been great. 2nd weekend is insane.

If TG2 does $84.6M this weekend or more it would be the best second hold for a $80M+ opening film to beat Shrek 2, which had Memorial Weekend to cushion it. If TG can manage that FOLLOWING an OW holiday, if it was a regular opening weekend it probably could have done -25% its second weekend.

TG2 has a slight shot at $600M+ at this point if these weekend numbers hold up. It only needs a 4.63 multiplier from an $85M second weekend to get there. It also has a dark horse chance to win the year if it pulls follow up weekend shockers but I still think BP is going to take it.

I'm also expecting an insane hold (or increase) July 4th long weekend. If its not cut off early could probably play till Labor Day weekend at this rate.

Paramount will pass $1B this year just from it's Jan - May film slate (5 films, all of which went #1). It only has 4 other movies this year so can sit on Maverick for the rest of the year.

EmpireCity was actually conservative and it did 25m friday. 85m+ for sure and 1B WW is locked.
