I'm out, but I'm starting to feel pretty good about it topping Green Knight as its biggest pandemic release. Anything over $10 million would already be impressive, anything over $20 million (especially with today's current art house climate) would be incredible. |

It's already at 1.7m after only being in 38 theaters. Not sure how expansion will go but beating another film that did well in platform release, Licorice Pizza's 17.2m would be a win. |

I have a feeling this is going to stay flat or increase this weekend. If it can hold onto theaters after Doctor Strange comes out this club is possible |

As long as it stays above $5 million this weekend (with its daily numbers that seems certain?) this club's chances of succeeding increase significantly. Incredible run it is having so far. |

Even if Strange kicks it down a couple notches next weekend, the rest of May is just light enough that it should cross $50 million. An absolutely astounding run. |

A24 probably would have been better off opening it where X opened. No really huge movies for a long time. Could have maybe done 60 Million. Doctor Strange will really hurt it next weekend. Hopefully it can recover a bit the two weekends after that. |

I think it actually ended up opening in just the right spot - the space between Batman and Lost City was egregious (even though Jujutsu managed to thrive within it), but I think entering wide release at the tail end of the Lost City/Morbius/Sonic/Beasts four week run proved to be smart, as it allowed WOM to kick into high gear just as all of those movies had peaked. |

Not like Doctor Strange which will hit everything hard. I would have followed the same platform release but it would have just had an extra week in wide release before Doctor Strange. I mean technically X still could have released where it did since Everything Everywhere would just be limited but I highly doubt they'd release two movies in the same weekend even if one is wide and the other limited. But the slot it's in worked fine too. It's still doing fantastic regardless. Just hate to see its great run slow down. |

Yeah, PVOD releases haven't really had any noticeable effect on box office grosses - Sing 2 was available to rent at home on January 7 and it made an additional $65 million after that. It should be fine as long as it does not go up on Hulu or Showtime while still in wide release. |

People may have missed it but something really big happened on Wed: 1 3 Everything Everywhere All at Once $707,736 -1.9% $37,748,047 41 Everything Everywhere reached #1 for the first time on the daily charts. With Dr. Strange opening, its chances at that again are nil moving forward but quite something to reach #1 on Day 41 of its run. A different type of run but for comparison, My Big Fat Greek Wedding took 137 days to get to #1. |
