Despite opening to 1/3 of Sing's OW with similar calendar days, Puss has as of Wed is now outgrossing Sing's dailies. WOM clearly has spread so this weekend's hold looks like it will be interesting to watch. |

Puss pulled $795K on Monday. I estimate it could be at about $142M by the end of the weekend. It's weekend actual also improved to an 18% drop last weekend. Take out the holiday and Fri/Sat dropped 9-10%. It's 5th weekend is also only 5% below its first weekend and PTA is up 7.8% from it. With an Oscar nod and possible win, no competition till Mario, another holiday weekend in February, spectacular WOM, let's see if it stays in theaters long enough to get to $200M by Oscar night. |

Puss is down just 13% on Friday with $2,430,000. Going to be close on $10M but hope it can pull a 6th weekend over it. PTA is down only 8.9%. Should pass $140M by the end of the weekend. Needs a big increase Feb long weekend and maybe Valentines Day to keep its hopes for $200M alive but $175M+ is looking great right now. |

I never thought after opening day this would pass the original, but its WW is definitely weak. 400 seems unlikely so I don’t see much of a return. Shouldn’t dissuade them from another Shrek film down the line. Though they already dig deep into its A Wonderful life, so not sure there is anything else to milk in far far away land. |

It’s on par with Sing 2 overseas through the same point. Over under 400 like that film is where it’s headed, which would be over 4x it’s budget. I think the break even point was like 250m on a 90m budget |

That’s not really accurate, it had about a 70 million marketing budget, it already broke even, but it is not a a huge hit at 375, they will maybe make about 30 off of it.. this needed to be closer to 550, especially considering the quality of film |

It would be nice if Puss out-grosses Black Adam to get into the yearly top ten. I've just watched it and it's really very good. Maybe that's too much to ask of it, but it's only got $23 million to go, and its legs are guaranteed. |

The Last Wish has done amazingly well. It has beaten the first movie ($149.2m) already and continues to pull in big dollars. It will likely finish with $20+ million more despite opening eleven years after the first and with $22 million fewer. But let's put it in perspective; let's say it finishes with $170 million, that would still put it at almost $70 million behind the least popular Shrek movie, Shrek Forever After, which did $238 million. Not bad at all for a supporting character spin-off, but still not a patch on Shrek as a box office power - yet they don't make Shrek movies anymore. Weird. |

Puss 3 is scheduled for 11 years from now like the last one so expect it in 2033. Shrek 5 will definitely happen. Going to guess 2026. |
