From Gitesh Pandya
The Batman (early estimate) approx 19m for 64-68m second weekend.

If it can get 50% second weekend drop or less, 3x multiple is not unlikely.

That would be an astoundingly good hold. Hard to say how much of it is due to dead competition vs great word of mouth, but pretty much every number since Saturday has ranged from good to great. Weather will likely lower sales a bit today in parts of country but should offset with a stronger hold Sunday.

Anything over $65m would put $400m domestic total firmly on the table.

Anything below 55% drop is crazy good. Depending on how it drops in April $400m should happen.

All Friday drops are pretty tiny as well from last week. Wonder if Disney is enjoying making $0 off everyone already having D+ and watching Turning Red!

Why have all these snowstorms occurred on the weekends this year?! Went to sleep with nothing on the ground late last night, and this morning, ~6 hours later, there's a good half-foot of snow or more out there... It was 80 just last Saturday!

Good hold for The Batman. Figured it was likely to have a strong, but somewhat underwhelming opening, followed by good holds as it rebuilds the film franchise again. Good to see evidence of this in the second weekend.

We've talked plenty on how frustrating it is that Disney didn't release Turning Red, but it's still really frustrating.

Excellent holds for all the holdovers as well, with the biggest ones probably dropping only 10-20% from last weekend. Uncharted should be good now for $140+ million total, and Dog for $60+ million.

Also I haven't seen this brought up yet, but the BTS concert is probably crashing the top 5 for the weekend despite only screening tomorrow - tickets are $35, and almost every screening I've checked near me is close to sold out.

Great drops all around. Lets go Uncharted!

But Turning Red should be on its way to $250M+ by now. :disgust:

Sing 2 $330,000 -2.2% 1,998 $154,575,000

If only there was a family movie that could have opened this weekend? It should be fine we have 3 coming up in a row in April.

Sonic, we need you NOW!

NWH hasn't dropped over 22% in the last 6 weekends. Jesus.

Why is a new Pixar release not going to theatres with a total absence of family competition?!
