Looks much more fun than I expected. Kinda looks like something that would be a cult film but I can see this opening in the 20s if buzz is there.

This is clearly going to have a big marketing push. I see high 20s or low 30s opening and over 100m total.

This is kinda Brad Pitt's first real popcorn star vehicle since World War Z, so it should be an interesting temperature check for one of our most iconic living movie stars. I think it's a decent trailer, sells the story and mood effectively enough. I'm rooting for pretty much every original theatrical release that is relying on star power this year, so I'm hoping it does well. 22/70 would be a pretty good post-COVID number for it?

I see $20M+ for opening day. It's Pitt's big post Oscar movie. Ad Astra kind of quietly was there but having Sandra Bullock along for the ride in marketing will be big as well. They barely showed her in here. Breakout, especially for its cross demo appeal. Feel like this movie has $1B international written all over it if its good and well received.

Obviously not 100% accurate... her ability to avoid making really bad movies is impressive though, there's no Hathaway in Serenity type stinker

Lost City and Bullet Train look to fit the trend perfectly

And she’s nearing 60. The fact that she still passes in that kind of role is even more impressive. Hathaway may even look older than her at 39, lol.

Hathaway looks way younger, but Bullock certainly is aging gracefully.

Bullock has had a $100M film in her:

20's (Speed)
30's (A Time To Kill, Prince of Egypt, Miss Congeniality)
40s (The Proposal, Gravity, Blind Side, The Heat)
50s (Minions, Ocean's 8)

Pretty impressive. Feels like she sorta took the 90s rein from Julia Roberts a bit.

I wonder who will have the most decades with 100 million films. Indy 5 will get ford 6. Travolta is done. Probably Hanks, maybe bullock. I think she’ll transition well when she gets there. They’ll need to wait until the 2030s and 40s though to get there

Ford has perfect career for this. Elvis might get Hanks 2020s. Cruise is also good candidate.

Cruise and Hanks And Bullock will easily get 2020s. But their first were in the 80s and bullock the 90s. As much as I love ford This is his last decade. Jackson would technically be on the list if you count the robber in Coming to America. Pretty much everyone from the 70s is retired that had one in every decade but Travolta missed the 2010s, but never count them out. Stallone missed 2 decades and four this last one

Dustin Hoffman hit 60s-10s mainly because of the Fockers movies for the last two decades

Release date shifted slightly from July 15 to July 29 since Black Adam was replaced with Super Pets. Really smart move IMO, gets it a little further away from Thor 4 and out of the way of Nope's opening weekend, plus it seems like the perfect August holdover movie that just kind of hangs out in the top 10 through Labor Day weekend (assuming it has good WOM). $100M+ total feels a little more possible now.

Why isnt this getting a trailer at theatres? Here it only gets a still photo of Brad Pitt and then of the cast with the release date. Very odd. I've seen that twice now (in front of TGM and Elvis) and it makes no sense.

That sucks, man.

for me here the trailer's been playing before: The Batman, Everything Everywhere All at Once, Doctor Strange 2, Top Gun Maverick and JW:Dominion so far.

Wow - didnt realise it was getting that much play over there.

I haven't seen anything like it ever. Just a 15 second shot at two still pictures.

Yeah I don't think there's a movie I've seen at the multiplex in the last 3-4 months that didn't have this trailer. I'm still looking forward to the movie but I'm almost exhausted by it

Yeah this trailer has been attached to EVERY movie I've seen for the past several months except kids films.

At my theater the trailer is before basically everything. I want to see it but for some reason the trailer never holds my attention. I always end up tuning it out. I feel like it should be a fun movie though.
