Spider-Man should be able to stay above 10m. The Morbius move may actually be the difference between 760m and overtaking Avatar and not.

Yes it's a solid chance now to overtake Avatar. Even if it does it by $1m or so - I'd be happy.

Such a waste Jackass or Moonfall didn't move here.

Spider-Man needs to drop less than 30% to be above $10m. Totally plausible.

It is dumb there's not a new wide release here. But at least it should help Scream make more money.

I swear every decently sized theater in this state is getting the black and white version of Nightmare Alley. Because the color version did so well. Shocked this isn't relegated to NY/LA like other black and white versions of movies.

One of my theaters also gets Parallel Mothers. I'm excited about that. Didn't think it would open here. And a different one is getting Licorice Pizza which I'm also excited about because I want to go see it again.

The only other movie opening here is Shang-Chi.

Northeast could get a foot of snow this weekend, could cause drops to be a bit harder

#CancelWinter. It's offended too many people.

Almost weekly heavy snowfall is annoying (I have two ~3/4 foot mounds of snow opposite my walkway I've made from shoveling that will probably be there until Spring), but this stretch of single-digit temperature is so much worse. My hot chocolate supply is running low. I ran out of pumpkin two weeks ago!

This is supposed to be the first significant snow the tristate area (PA/NJ/DE) will get. We made it through all of December and most of January ugh, couldn't make it just one more month!

Better this weekend than next. I don't want snow messing with my draft picks.

Yeah I wouldn't want it to put a damper on next weekend's box office. I want the openers to be able to reach their full potential.

I'm a little worried about Moonfall. The Saturday night preview showing here has only had 2 tickets sold since Monday. Is it doing any better at anyone else's theater? Maybe they just haven't been promoting these showings enough.

Seems dumb that couldn't just move Moonfall a week ahead even if the move came late

Yeah it was definitely stupid not to move it up.

The King's Man only dropped 2% and looks likely to beat The Matrix 4 even with its upcoming release on Hulu. :funny:

Great drops all around mostly. Helps that the only "new release" was the black and white cut of Nightmare Alley. If the market remained this empty, the Spider-Men might have crawled their way to $800M!

I'm ready for some more big numbers though. Hopefully Jackass can hit mid 30s at least. Moonfall I could see landing anywhere between 10 and 30 million lol.

Spider-Man is now the 19th film to have 6 weekends at number one. It can conceivably tie Avatar if moonfall really flops. 8 million might be enough.
