Friday Estimates 1.14
Scream opening day: 13.3m Solid although I was hoping for 15m. Should be good for 30m with Scream 4’s multiplier, although hopefully it’s a little better. Hard to say in pandemic times though. https://deadline.com/2022/01/scream-spi ... 234912797/

That's a good opening day. January continues to be great for horror movies.

Really great for Scream. Thank god Paramount didn't put it to streaming.

Re: Friday Estimates 1.14
I too was hoping for 15 Million but can't complain. This is a great opening. Studios should not be afraid to release a movie right now. Unless it's Downton Abbey or something that skews much older.
Hopefully this sees nice holds since nothing else really releases the rest of the month and WOM is good.

Marketing was good. Or at least, if I'm aware of a movie's upcoming release, I consider it good because I don't often seek out a film I'm indifferent towards. I saw a sufficient amount of ads both offline and online, and former pro-wrestler David Arquette was putting in the work with his media appearances.

Re: Friday Estimates 1.14
Also the B+ is the best in the series since Scream 2 earned a B+. Apparently there weren’t exit polls for the first one. Basically an A for a horror movie.

Re: Friday Estimates 1.14
As for everything else:
Spider-Man's hold is great. Will pass Black Panther Monday.
Sing 2 will hold theaters for awhile. Should probably pass Secret Life of Pets 2.
King's Man will probably finish really close to Matrix. Lol
Belle did ok. Will be interested to see how it does for the rest of the month.

Re: Friday Estimates 1.14
Obviously would have hit $15m if Canada was open. That is an excellent number.

Definitely. Also think it could have it 18-20 without omicron.

Probably 45 if theaters gave out happy endings before you left!
