Surprisingly strong weekend. Great # for Spidey and glad Sing 2 didn't ollapse now that it's on VOD. Next week for holdovers should be another good weekend too.

How many people knew that Sing 2 is on VOD? Even within our forum we had tofo find out about it and someone of us is actively looking for these kind of information.

Great for Spidey of course but comparisons to equivalent openers doesn't make it look good.

So I said 50/50 Spidey for $800 million after the opening weekend and that unfortunately looks out of reach unless the legs tighten up a bit more, but was still fairly close. Looking more like a $750 total, which given the pandemic and all the other factors is obviously still incredible.

House of Gucci could’ve done $100m+ without COVID. Gaga is about to get a shit ton of offers.

Don't think that Spidey will add another $80m from here on regardless of the competition.

Is anyone else really impressed with The King’s Man’s run so far? It must be the only film tapping into older audiences right now.

The King's Man opening was too small but it has been holding well. It should have reached $50m but there is no way to get there.

GUCCI just entered the yearly Top Ten of 2021 here in Germany...

Ugh I hope not.

I think it will finish around $750m but still has a shot at Avatar which I hope it beats. I think $800m is out of reach.

They probably will re-release it. 13 years is a long time between sequels and need to get younger people familiar with it again, especially if those audiences still aren't coming to theaters at the level they were pre-2020.
