Re: Thursday previews
Should’ve been a Netflix movie. The whole thing was doomed to fail starting with the non descrip title.

Re: Thursday previews
I don’t think everything needs to go to Netflix that’s not a blockbuster. Hollywood needs to at least try to rebuild the mid range movie. The industry won’t survive long term on blockbusters alone.

Re: Thursday previews
Maybe don't make movies where the entire selling point is the cast is female when there's been hundreds action movies with women already. Also try harder in title pitch meeting.

Re: Thursday previews
Better than I expected. I had been so tempted to predict 3.55 Million for it this weekend but honestly didn't think it would even get there so went 3 and then changed it to 2. Looks like it will probably do 3-5 Million.

Re: Thursday previews
I fear Paramount will be like, "The 355 bombed. People aren't going to movies right now." And they'll decide at the last minute to do Paramount+ and theaters simultaneously for Scream. Desperately hoping not but will be nervous about this until it officially opens. Surely studios have to realize The 355 was going to bomb anyway so this shouldn't worry them.

I don’t understand how anyone can look at what spider man just made and say “clearly the issue is people being uncomfortable in theaters and not our shitty content.”

Re: Thursday previews
That's decent preview numbers for 355 anyone expecting more from this movie, in January, was wishing. I do not think the movie had good hook to get people interested.

But that seems to happen. All it takes is one movie to disappoint and some movie(s) will move back or go to streaming. Clearly if you put out something people want to see they'll go. So here's hoping Scream also posts great numbers. Some movies should be moving up to take advantage of the bare schedule. Moonfall should have moved up a week. Some family movie needs to move way up.
