Re: WSS previews
Doesn't seem that bad to me. This was never a film people were going to rush out for.
Should still do minimum 15m with that.

Re: WSS previews
Same as Dear Evan Hansen. At least this doesn't have bad reviews to tank it over the weekend. Should go much higher than that.

Re: WSS previews
Think it will see a big bump Saturday and a big Tuesday upcoming. Plus, could be helped next week by Spider-Man sell outs.

Re: WSS previews
At this point it just needs to open above ITH. It has the reviews to leg it out for the month.

Re: WSS previews
Yep this does not need to open big. It seems to have a good Oscar run scheduled for it going forward.

Re: WSS previews
It’s also in 2800 theaters, not 3500-4000 like most movies.

Re: WSS previews
Hmm could it fall under $10M for the weekend with that weak ass preview? I knew the weekend was being overhyped. Oh it got good reviews? So does every oscar bait movie. The critics have to or they'll be looked down upon by their peers.
I guess we shouldn't be too surprised considering how In The Heights and Dear Evan Hanson performed. Legs should be much better than those movies though.
The only real shame is that WSS took the imax screens for this mediocre weekend. Dune could have gotten another $1.5M!!!

Re: WSS previews
Yeah I'm still surprised with that OD but hopefully things get better with the holidays coming in. The negative buzz surrounding the overuse of Spanish night be a detractor. Any word on CS for WSS?

Re: WSS previews
It's going to be hard to have staying power with that opening. The Greatest Showman being an exception but that opened right at the beginning of the Christmas break stretch so it didn't lose showtimes or screens during that. With all that is coming out this absolutely will be losing screens and showtimes. It's not easy to rebound from an opening so small. Definitely has some big obstacles to overcome.

Re: WSS previews
So it has all the ingredients to let it out but yeah this won't come close to $100m anymore. Let's see how it plays out over the weekend.
