Ghostbusters # is good tbh. Should do well into the holiday weekend and hopefully grosses similar to 2016.

Another L for WB and adult drama films... ugh.

Eternals having another 60%+ drop is awful.

Basically right in that "good enough" area. Lots of these lately.

We might have to consider inflation possibly affecting the box office for the near-future if more movies only post "good enough" numbers moving forward. Pretty much everything has seen pretty significant upticks in pricing in recent months. Some families may not be willing to accept, or simply can't afford, a $50+ charge at the movie theater right now, especially with Christmas coming up.

That's a really good point. People are tired of seeing price increases at every turn and it makes sense that certain luxuries will suffer.

Yeah, one of my local theaters that still has old uncomfortable seats just raised their night shows to $16... ridiculous. Lucky that avid movie watchers have the monthly option but it is getting way too expensive for those that go twice or even once a month.

Are the prices of concessions up too? They've always been really high, of course, but I wonder what they are, on average, right now.

I put together a raffle giveaway at my stores this month where employees can draw a coupon for a free turkey (which can be up to $30 or more now. You could get a ~20lb turkey for $20 or often less just a year or two ago) or a $20 gift card at participating Piggly Wiggly locations in my region because a lot our employees have been struggling hard this year. Many have quit, largely starting back in late-Summer.

Decent opening.

What happened to those good drops?
