Re: November 19-21 Predictions
Yeah. I think it can fall in the 45-55 range, which would be great leading into the holiday

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
So the 2016 Ghostbusters opened with $46m and from what I remember that wasn't considered great? I don't remember but wow
Don't think this one will open that high. Probably a little under, gonna go with 42m.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
I remember Ghostbusters, Star Trek Beyond and Jason Bourne opening back to back to back with "good enough" openings and poor legs.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife - $41M King Richard - $9M
It's hard to guage the buzz for GA but you'd think it can get to high 30s at least.
Kimg Richard could have been a solid hit if it wasnt streaming.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
ghostbusters started well but its pace has been anemic since then. Thinking 4.5m previews(with early wednesday shows) and between 35-40m OW. Let us hope it goes higher than that by thursday but its PS need to pick up.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
I want Ghostbusters to do well, but I'd also be okay if it fails to outgross/barely matches the 2016 film.
The 2016 film was treated ridiculously unfairly. It was pretty good, and I don't know anyone who hated it. Afterlife probably won't even match its reviews.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
The 2016 film was a mediocre film but it wasn't worse than the vast majority of comedies released.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
$64 m for Ghostbusters. Mindless fun seems to be doing well + nostalgia factor, open market from Eternals disappearing quickly and multi-generational appeal.

I feel Ghostbusters will do well with walkups, especially over the holiday.

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
Ghostbusters is going to have good WOM and has no direct competition until Spider-Man. If it doesn't do huge opening weekend I still see it being leggy at least until Spider-Man

Re: November 19-21 Predictions
Thinking 4.8m previews(including early shows yesterday) and OW in low 40s. Hope it goes even higher.
