Post subject:  2022 World of KJ Box Office Draft- Full!
Hello all! Time for our seventh annual box office draft game! After a canceled game in 2020 and no game in 2021, it seems like the theatrical landscape will return to a draftable level in 2022.This year, I think we will draft 10 movies, depending on how many players. It will again be a snake draft, and you pick by posting in the thread in the games forum, and we each take turns making picks.

At the end of 2022, we add up the North American gross of all of the films, and whoever has the highest total wins. Because some movies are released very late in the year, we can extend it through the end of January 2023 for grosses.

If a film moves out of 2022, we will allow a replacement but both posters who lose the film from their picks must agree on the replacement. There will be a 50m penalty for both posters as well.

Draft order would be random.
No penalties, 550m cap per film.

There will again be a pool. I will choose the pool very soon once we have the amount of players. These are locked, I will choose more if we need them.

I was thinking it might be easier rather than drafting one by one it might be easier and faster to have everyone rank the pool and send it back to me, and I could draft for everyone. Or we could just do it one by one, we'll probably take a poll.

Hey guys! I'd really love one more signup so we can have an even number! I'd like to do 2 equal divisions but the way it currently is we'd have one 5 person group and one 6 person group. We'd make it work, but them being the same size would simplify things!

Alright, I made the spreadsheet for the game. We will have 2 divisions of 6 with 13 picks each from the list I provided.

You will have 2 options. You may either draft live after receiving a PM that it is your turn (you will have 12 hours to do so), or you may submit a ranked list of the pool, and I can draft for you based off of the list you provide.

Avatar 2 and Black Panther potential to move to 2023 makes this interesting. Can you elaborate on the replacement rule? Why would someone give up their movie and take 50m penalty?

If a movie moves out of 2022, you can add another movie as long as you can agree with the other person affected in the other division and each take a 50m penalty
