Halloween Kills it with $40m

The Last Duel should do well with is stellar cast. I'll go with $12m and a leggy run.

Halloween can match Quiet Place 2 IMO. Should do at least 45m. Don't think people even know its on Pecock.

If walkups are strong as we see for horror movies I could see 50m OW. PS is strong so far.

I am upping OW to 60m. PS is super strong at cinemark as well. its at 80% of Venom 2 with walkups for horror being generally good.

Horror movies sometimes can trend towards presales heavy so I'm not going my predictions yet. But I hope this does well.

I'm predicting $45m which is higher than many here. I'm just not comfortable with $60m yet. Just because Venom did it does not mean all movies will break out. Plus comparing Venom presales to Bond didn't work and Halloween is another genre that can't be compared to superhero.

Your comment presupposes that Soze doesn't take genre into account when he makes predictions, which I'm sure he does as he has been on this site and working in the business for a long time

My comment was not for Soze but I can understand from your cynicism (and the usual personal attack) that's how you read it. I was interpreting his information and basing my predictions on it. Predictions are still just that if this was a science then we don't have to predict anymore.

Lol wtf? 60m would be phenomenal. Peacock is such a flop service that it won't really make a dent besides people who pirate it but they probably wouldn't have seen it in theaters anyway. Hope so!

$60 million would be more shocking to me than Venom's opening.

Yeah 60 Million would be insane and I hope it happens but I'll believe it when I see it. Would be pretty impressive to open higher than Bond. I definitely think it's going over 40 now though.

$60m for HK is still below the last movie which had good WoM for the franchise and decent reviews. Venom had good legs but definitely not good reviews and Venom 2 didn't have any better reviews yet it still outdid expectations way beyond SC and BW. If $60m happens I still feel Venom2 was more shocking.

I have to flip flop back to mid to late 40s. its PS yesterday and walkups today were ok(neither bad nor great). Thinking 4.8m previews but it could go higher as cinemark has over performed relative to AMC. I would say OW in mid 40s.
