Malignant - 13

Honestly not sure about this. James Wan is pretty consistent with horror but again HBO Max and trailer looks eh to me. Maybe it can do high teens but don't see a big opening now.

Shang Chi I think can still do over $30m. Expecting drop to be like 56% or so.

This is the month where horror movies strive usually. Even with Max release movies can do well in theaters specially horror movies, I see Malignant doing $20m.

Can you please do a poll to see if Magliant will O/U $15M OW?

Malignant opened last weekend internationally with lousy $2.4m from 24 markets (including big markets like Germany, Spain, France and Italy)...

The next few weeks seem like they will be pretty rough - I don't think anything over the next two weeks opens over low teens.

I still think Malignant will do well because horror movies do well but then again audience just went to see SC. Were the trailers for Malignant shown before SC? If that happened I can see it doing $20m.

Wan is one of my favorites, but I have my doubts about Malignant. I hope it's good - trailer didn't do a lot for me.

I’m hyped for a new James Wan movie, and assumed others would be as well but those overseas numbers are damning. Plus, director starpower hasn’t been worth a whole lot in the Pandemic Era. Will lower my prediction from $22M to $18M.

Presales don't provide much of a gauge in the COVID arena, but Malignant is looking very sad around here. Only 5 for tomorrow's 7pm show. Looks like it will need walk-ups to not bomb.

WB not doing previews for their films besides TSS is so lame. Hope they do some for Dune at least.

Hoping it can at least get above $10 million. Seems like a movie many may opt to watch on HBO Max than theaters though.

Did horrible here tonight. The most tickets I noticed sold for a showing was 5. I doubt it hits double digits.
