Re: The Coming Storm
More of a drizzle outside the bonehead middle of October and matrix next to Spider-Man. But I get the point, where as I only saw two movies in theaters this summer, I want to see the majority of those listed

Yeah that's not a lot of movies though all of them have that curiosity factor.

Re: The Coming Storm
Besides the superhero films idk what else would reach $150m. Even $125m. I'm a little iffy about No Time to Die cause it's been so long but maybe it'll play like F9? Idk.

I would call Cry Macho a sleeper in normal times but old people are just gonna watch it on HBO Max

Re: The Coming Storm
I know a lot of the "prestige" films aren't listed for good reason, but where is Encanto and Jackass Forever for 2021 and Moerbius and Turning Red for early 2022?

Top Gun and Jack-ass have been pushed out of the fall to 2022. MI sequel is also shifting back. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movie ... 235006871/

Re: The Coming Storm
Top Gun should be a summer movie, but why not July 4th?

Re: The Coming Storm
Production wrapped in June 2019. So strange to see major tentpoles just sitting waiting to be released for 3 years. Would be interesting for stars to promote a film they made so long ago but the weird times we live in.

Re: The Coming Storm
Jackass seems like it'd do fine now...? Stupid. I don't want to keep seeing that trailer for another half a year.
I think Spider-Man is definitely moving unless they're waiting to see how Shang-Chi does. If it overperforms maybe they'll stay to not push the MCU slate more. Things aren't gonna be magically better anytime soon so I hope things don't completely shift again

I hope we see a star being interviewed about an upcoming movie they're in and they forgot they even did it when asked about it. "How was filming with James Corden?" "James Corden? I wasn't in Cats... Oh! You mean that musical I filmed 3 years ago. What was it called again?"

Re: The Coming Storm
Top Gun belongs in the summer. I would watch MI7 tomorrow though, so having to wait another year is a huge bummer. Might have to put on Fallout tonight.

Re: The Coming Storm
I really don't understand this decision from Paramount at all. The movie going business is not dead, it very weird that this news comes on the heels of what could be the biggest opening of the year thus far.

Probably more worried about OS box office then American where Top Gun wasn’t gonna be all that anyways.

Re: The Coming Storm
Top Gun isn't the only Paramount release to move though and other studios are still doing fine so I don't see why they had to move all of their movies at this point without getting any data points from Shang-Chi.

Re: The Coming Storm
Strange that October looks like it may make a run for the top month of the year box office wise considering its usually one of the smallest months of the year historically. July is tops now with $582M. Nov, feels light and Dec. blockbusters may pull in more in 2022.

Re: The Coming Storm
October is a clusterfuck. Venom should have stayed in September
Thinking NTTD- 65/180 Venom 55/140 Halloween 50/110 Dune 35/100
