The winner of this contest will be closest to the pin when adding all the month's openings together. For example if there was 3 films and you were 5 million off on one film, 3 million off on another 2 million off on the third, you would be a total of 10 million off for the month. The openings to predict this month: Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings The Card Counter Malignant Queenspins Copshop Blue Bayou Cry Macho The Eyes of Tammy Faye Dear Evan Hanson All predictions must be made before the first film opens, therefore mid day Thursday to avoid Shang Chi midnight numbers. |

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings - 60 million The Card Counter - 5 million Malignant - 18 million Queenspins - 2 million Copshop - 5 million Blue Bayou - 500k Cry Macho - 10 million The Eyes of Tammy Faye - 2 million Dear Evan Hanson - 15 million Last 2 weeks of the month are really rough, Cry Macho would be the breakout if seniors weren't terrified to go the theatre and with it being easily available in HBO Max. No idea what to do with the suicide musical. A hit at the end of the day but maybe Greatest Showmans its way there. |

I wonder how much of the word "cop" will impact the movie's BO potential. I feel in general there is a cringe about cops and not many people would be willing to pay for a movie celebrating "cops" in any shape or form. |

I'm assuming that if the real box office is $100,000 and I predicted $1 million, my "error" would be $1 million by the rules of this contest. So for the first 3 days of the movies box office (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) my predictions are Shang-Chi and the Legends of the Ten Rings: $66 million The Card Counter: $9 million Malignant: $18 million Queenspins: $19 million Cophop: $12 million Blue Bayou: $1 million Cry Macho: $13 million The Eyes of Tammy Faye: $2 million Dear Evan Hansen: $14 million |
