Re: July 16-18 Predictions
Ah I just posted in other thread that the increase in PS gives SJ2 a good chance I guess not lol. Look for BW to stay #2 at the top.

I'm not sure if you're making fun of me but I will take it positively that you don't think this will open big. Would have been an interesting club....

If Space Jam opens big as per sales indicates I wonder how big it will on streaming

Not making fun at all, my post is genuine. I doubt it will actually go as low as $12m, but I’m wondering who this appeals to. watch now it does like $40m+

Even the optimists of the movie don't think it will do $40m+ this weekend.

Re: July 16-18 Predictions
Reading the reviews for Space Jam are quite entertaining. I still think the film will breakout. Feel its close to critic proof and has a fanbase that will show up regardless of how bad it is.

My local theater moved some BW showtimes for Space Jam lol, now playing on 4 screens tonight.

Re: July 16-18 Predictions
Seems walk-ups for Space Jam are steady here, as well. Call me surprised (and confused). Great for the BO, though.

Re: July 16-18 Predictions
Looks like Space Jam is looking at a 30 to 35 million weekend. Nice to see a movie outperform expectations.

Re: July 16-18 Predictions
Not flopping does not = outperforming expectations. Especially with the international market not saving films like it did in the past. Space Jam cost 150 million. WB was clearly hoping for Detective Pikachu numbers when they finally announced this, and I don't think it'll make even half of that WW. The international markets helping films like this in the past is definitely hurting. Even Cruella which has been quietly doing well, probably would have pulled 350 WW in normal circumstances, now it's not even topping Dolittle.
This leaves Jungle Cruise to be the big success story of the summer.
