I thought 2018's HALLOWEEN ($76m/$159m) was a box office anomaly, but the HALLOWEEN KILLS trailer suggests another $100m+ grosser is possible... What do you think? |

The franchise is big enough and the last one was one of the best Halloween movies in a long time. The trailer is good enough if not effective as the first one so I see a decline but it should cross $100m given that the last one easily crossed $150m mark. |

Do not be swayed. I absolutely love this franchise, but it there is one thing I've learned, the good ones that break out often see major drop offs in the follow up. Which is great because the last one was massive. Halloween II retention (53%) Halloween Resurrection retention (54.5%) Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 rentention (57%) I'll give Halloween Kills the benefit of the doubt and say this is actually going to be marketed well, has continuity, and the soft marketplace but it's 2nd weekend drop is going to be brutal. The first barely hit a 2 multiplier. I'll say it makes 90-105 million after a 50 million opening. |

Should make it to 100 Million. Probably not really any more than that. |

Reviews are 56% positive so far. Feeling this will do pretty well despite Peacock. 45ish million. |

Going straight to The Cock was a poor idea, but then again people might opt to just go watch it in theaters over subbing to one of the least appeaing streamers. It is available on the $5 tier, but then you have to watch commercials IN THE MOVIE (not even hulu does that, they show all the commercial at the beginning.) So its $10 for the real experience, which is about the same cost as a ticket outside of the biggest markets. It's not like HBO Max where you get a ton of great content along with the movie of the month. Peacock has nothing appealing besides wrestling, The Office (for the millionth rewatch) and one decently reviewed original in Girls5Eva. |
