Deadline saying In the Heights had previews at 7 when it was advertised as opening yesterday, pretty sure it had earlier showtimes... god

In the Heights was on HBO Max yesterday so it should count as a full day.

From what I saw in my area In The Heights isn't doing as hot as I was expecting. Think opening will be in the teens now but hopefully it does better.

With HBO Max maybe not. I think it being available to stream affects subsequent weeks moreso than the opening.

Indeed ITH felt like a movie that people would enjoy more on streaming with family (specially older members) rather than go out to theaters.

Those Friday numbers even for holdovers seem a little less, maybe a quiet weekend for movie going.

ITH and PR2 are not flops but definitely lower than expectations. Musicals also have good multipliers over weekend so it will be a close race to #1. I think with good WoM ITH has a great chance to end at pole position this weekend.
