Quiet and Cruella combined for about $69M (hehe). Can Fast top them both? I say yes.

I'm thinking an opening in the 70s sounds about right so over.

I think box office will be almost normal by then. So a natural decline from F8 would be in store. Over under 70m sounds right.

It can honestly go either way. Sub 55 or 80+, I wonder if it already being available to view on every website will also play into a movie being a month out from release. You know one film is going to be a casualty of the pandemic business. Black Widow is avoiding any type of leak so far and is an original marvel movie coming out and Loki will be finishing up by then, so it's prospects are looking really good. Pre Pandemic I thought this was looking to do sub Hobbs and Shaw but the delay will probably help a lot.

70 is a very safe bet, but I'll say lower, lowest opening of the series since F4.

Under $70m I do not think it's appeal or WoM will be as big.

I predicted 70 but I would go under before over http://wokj.worldofkj.com/june-box-office-preview/

I think $67M OW and $140-145M total. The WOM won’t be that good IMO.

Definitely over. This is the cinematic event that will get a lot of mainstream moviegoers on the fence back in theaters.

$80m over Memorial day weekend was already the turning point. Unless you are suggesting this will open to $100m+

Black Widow is more likely than F9 to open to $100M and even $100M for BW ain’t happening.

I can see $100m for BW happening even with the D+ release.

For F9, probably just over $70m. Legs will be weak.

The market is ripe for a breakout I think will cross $70m mark because the last few weeks have been pathetic.

I'm afraid $60m will be a struggle...

The movie has been readily available online for over a month. I think if not for that horrible release rollout, it’d be the movie to do it. But definitely not.

Yeah I am a lot less confident in this than a month ago. Seems like the overseas release muted the hype. My prediction is around $55M right now, but we still have a few days to go!

The meltdown Vin Diesel will have if this (... and probably will) finishes below Hobbs and Shaw.

The domestic market is primed for a blockbuster release

My prediction: $71M OW

WW its pretty much a guarantee now with China not increasing much from H&S and its pretty much a guarantee to go down in other Asian/EU markets from H&S. Domestically if F9 opens to $70m it has a chance to top H&S otherwise I don't see how it will have enough staying power to get past $173m.

I have the same sense the market is so down from last two weeks that F9 will benefit and outreach expectations to do $70m+ but crash and burn afterwards.

The 720 showing at my theater has only two seats presold! The 7pm is about half full. Doesn’t look like any social distancing anymore.

My interest in this has really waned. Reviews make it seem like this franchise is nearing the end of the road.
