 Weekend Estimates Free Guy - $28.4m
Much needed win for theatrical only releases. 3.5 multiplier to 100m seems tough but it's well received and looking at a weak slate of films next month and a half.

Re: Weekend Estimates If free guy can manage a drop below JC (that 2.7 multiplier is fantastic compared to every other film this summer). I think we very well might see that as Weekend 2 seems to be where streaming is having the biggest effect. Of course it could fall off the face of the earth, but since you can’t rent it it might end up continuing to surprise. Basically anyone that heard SS was good chose to rent it. Which I get, there’s not much to distinguish it to casual movie goers than an episode of the Boys. It’s definitely been brought up the most in conversation this week of any film this summer.

Re: Weekend Estimates I think Shang-Chi will be really telling with its 2nd weekend drop. If that drops 65%+ too then I guess big blockbusters just drop hard while non franchise stuff that don't have built in fan demand won't plummet that hard.

Re: Weekend Estimates So Free Guy did open above TSS which conversely is dropping way too hard even for a streamer. I think there is a slight chance for FG to reach $100m but it needed a much higher opening to seal it.
