I'm surprised that both Madagascar and Revenge of the Sith held on so well.

The Longest Yard dropped $1.4 million, but it's still excellent. :)

Crash had a nice increase, too. A lot of people I know have seen it (yes, those teen "crapheads" actually do have good taste sometimes...). WOM continues to spread. It might be able to hold on and break $50 million at this pace.

Excellent for Monster-in-Law! I knew it would be underestimated. The projected sunday drop of 40% (!!!) was ridiculous.

PEACE, Mike ;)

Nice weekend indeed. Fantastic underestimisation for Monster In Law.

Longest Yard seemed over predicted, but so did MADAGASCAR...but the latter wasn't.

Sheesh, Monster-in-Law up by almost $2M from the estimate. Impressive.

awesome 270m for Sith, and it did not drop much from estimates, I estimate a total gross in the 420m-460m range, but I am still in high hopes for 500m

Very slow Memorial Day it looks like. I was expecting one film to at least gross $20 million.

Really awesome numbers all around. Especially Monster-in-Law, and Crash is holding up surprisingly well. This movie obviously has some excellent word of mouth. Madagascar, Star Wars, and The Longest Yard all do very well.

Very good numbers for the top 4 and Crash. K&S confirms that it continues to disappoint. I figured one of Madagascar or TLY was overestimated, thought both might be actually. They had Madagascar and ROTS pretty much on the nose. I must say Fox is doing a much more accurate job with the estimates on this one.

I'm very surprised and dissapointed with Kicking and Screaming's legs. It's some of the worst I've seen for a kids movie that opened to over $15 million. It's following the path of Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but will actually cross $50 million.

It's getting killed by the competition. I think it is the worst release date of the year.

Hitchhiker's legs were the result of the fanbase, but this is just poor scheduling.
