Honestly looks much better than I expected. And they're connecting it straight up to the Spider-Man films?!? Could do $200+ mil.

It looks fine. Don't see above Venom rn. Tying this with the Spider-Man films is hilarious though. Go Sony.

It already looks a lot better than Venom to me, and the MCU connections will definitely put a lot more buts in seats. I'm expecting anything ranging from $150-$200M domestic with a $60-$70M OW.

I honestly don't think people are gonna care that Vulture is in this trailer, but it looks good. If it does well, it's because people want a Morbius movie, not because of the MCU connection.

I mean no one gave a shit about Ant Man and it did 180m in 2015 because it was in the MCU. A non-MCU Ant Man film probably barely would have scraped to 100m.

If people are convinced that Morbius is in MCU, it will 100% be an added boost. MCU is literally the strongest brand in movies today.

Unless they show Tom Holland or Zendaya in the trailer, no one probably even remembers Keaton was in Homecoming.

The MCU link will get this to $180-$200m. It also has a good release date and will lead into Venom 2.

Also re: Keaton - I do think Vulture was memorable enough even if underused. The scene in the car with his daughter and Peter Parker is one of the best in any MCU film.

Agree that the car scene was great.

I don’t think the connection with Vulture suggests a meaningful connection to the MCU. Certainly not the Disney MCU although that would be cool.

Michael Keaton's Vulture is still to me one of the best villains in the MCU next to Thanos, Hela and Killmonger and yes it's mostly because of that car scene. I really hope they bring him back in a significant way and don't underutilize him.
