Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
It looks solid but ya, seems a lot less... quiet and more action heavy than the first. Wonder how the budget is.
I'm thinking it'll open maybe in the 40s.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
This was lightening in a bottle. So yes it’s likely to drop below 150m which would still be good.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
Seems weird that there's no allusion to the (obvious) weakness they realized at the end of the first movie.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
So it's basically going to be two hours of that part of War of the Worlds with Tim Robbins? Yawn...
Also, War of the Worlds its impact. That car scene with Tom and Dakota was so influential, this looks like a remake of it, same with World War Z.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
This looks really good. Great trailer. Loved the beginning. I'm sure it will drop from the first since that was such a huge hit and not everyone loved it. But it looks so good that I don't think the drop will be that terrible. Maybe a 140-150 total.
This definitely seems like an Aliens type sequel where they up the action.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
The trailer looks great and gives the story a fuller context. The first one was mediocre though.
This can do $150m.

Around $150 mil will be great for this.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
I thought the trailer was effective enough, but it will likely gross less than the first movie regardless. I can see something like a $60-$65M OW and a $130-$150M total.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
I just wish they would have moved it up a weekend to take advantage of Friday The 13th. There was nothing there but now a few things moved there. Some from the date with A Quiet Place. If AQP moved there they'd probably move again . This is the movie with the upper-hand.

Yeah that trailer was pretty solid. Maybe a conjuring 2 type of retention.

Re: A Quiet Place Part 2 Prediction Thread
Considering the multiple delays due to the panademic, it still has a shot at $150m.
