If it's good, it will out gross DSIMOM with a 150-160m OW and 2.8ish multiple. If its meh like that film it will gross less than JW:D with a 2.3 multiple. |

Apparently Gorr is testing well with audiences. Hopefully we can have the second great phase 4 film with this one |

I love the look of the film. Love what I'm seeing and hearing about Gorr. Love the fact that it has the GotG in it. Love Jane Foster and Valkyrie. My only concern is that it becomes too light weight with all the OTT humour. I hope I'm wrong. |

FYI Presales are well below DS2 which was marketed as NWH sequel and some crazy cameos. This seems more contained. I just dont see this coming close to DS2 OW. 150m is solid target. |

last 2 days had phenomenal sales. Now thinking 29m previews and 160m OW. But legs wont be great as WOM is mixed for sure. |

Looking back, this is going to be one of the most over predicted movies. I myself thought it had 200/500 potential after the teaser as I assumed with Taika it would get acclaim around similar to Ragnarok. Instead its having among the worst received MCU sequels to acclaimed predecessors. OW looks like low 140s with previews making up 21% of OW. So 2nd weekend drop wont be pretty even with no competition(DS2 dropped 67% without any openers that weekend). Post that it should do ok and summer weekdays should help. So I am thinking 350m domestic. More than domestic overseas numbers look disappointing as its looking like finishing below Ragnarok even minus China/Russia grosses. So WW just under 750m. |

Thor Love and Thunder Cost 250m, and will likely top out over/under 750m WW. Isn't that barely breaking even? |

So it turns out this did pretty good. Domestically it beat Ragnarok, and worldwide it beat The Batman (minus China because Love & Thunder did not open there). |
