But the biggest opening weekend of all time is already a very hard achievement in itself, as Endgame's prelude, Captain Marvel, is not as good as Infinity's prelude, Black Panther.

If streaming causes a contraction in the number of theaters nationwide that will make it harder for future films to achieve a top 5 OW

Are schools off that week? i know Easter is really late this year, wonder which weeks schools are off.
If they are off week of IW then thurs and friday numbers will be way inflated.

I don't think capacity is the problem. There are movies that can achieve higher PTA than $60k. Endgame needs an average of $66.2k-$67.2k and IF it's going to break $300m that's not a "big ask"

This is going to be huge. Everywhere I go I hear people bringing it up. I listen to sports radio in the morning and every week on almost each show one of them will bring up Endgame or "thanosing" someone.

If it doesn't break it, it will be very close 295-305 range.

The thing these Avengers movies have going for them is the opening, so if any film is going to do it, this will. But I don't think it will reach $300m upon opening. C'mon guys, don't turn a $280m opening into a disappointment.

Yeah I think it will be closer to 270-280 myself, but if anything is going to challenge that record its going to be this movie.

Man if that 3 hour plus running time ends up being true than the OW for this is going to be insanely interesting to watch. I believe it will push the limits, because the demand will definitely be there, but ultimately I just don't see it making it to $300M.

The character posters was a really smart move. Definitely helped hype even more.

16 character posters is overkill. They're so boring too. But the idea behind them will make them worth it...to let everyone know who's still here and who's not. I love how the main ones (Stark, Thor, Cap, Hulk) are still there to save the day. All white men too.
