Revolutions was 100% a victim of some studio idiot releasing it the same year as Reloaded. It being "bad" was not the reason it opened to HALF of what Reloaded did. |

Christina Ricci joining the cast is something I would never have expected, even if she did work with the director on Speed Racer. She hasn't had a $100 m+ movie since Sleepy Hollow 22 years ago. Adams Family and Casper got there as well. She's super selective about the roles she chooses so makes me more confident in this one. |

Lol I love Christina Ricci. But she brings nothing draw wise. A trailer with the green numbers and a few shots of Neo is all it’s going to land. Now the film itself is a whole other thing, but the interest is certainly there |

Again they can generate nostalgia very well without Ricci. Its not a great casting choice that people seem to be making. This is like Monica Belluci being in Reloaded, she looked good as a pretty face and possibly brought in some OS audience but brought nothing to the movie and its marketing. |

Will it definitely release this year? Discovery could push it a month or two to get out of the HBO Max window without breaking the original promise. I think they should release Dune a few weeks early too, maybe a mid September theatrical run before hitting Max in October. |

The Matrix Resurrection will be fine in December making all the money. I'm more worried about Dune in October. Hopefully no matter what it makes in theaters, WB gives us a sequel. |

With Keanu being red-hot again due to John Wick and this being THE franchise that made him a household name, aside from maybe Speed (which should also be rebooted by now??) there is no doubt that Matrix will open BIG. |

Piracy is a huge problem for HBOmax (and D+) releases, that's why WB is releasing most movies internationally now ahead of domestic... |
