One wonders if HOW will slip past KOH by Friday in the dailies

I highly doubt with. With two huge openers it looks like HOW will shed at least 800 theatres while Kingdom of Heaven will rather shed screens.

I suspect both will shed a largish number. But then I missed the fact that HOW had a better Friday last week than KOH as well. Better the question will HOW beat out KOH over the weekend. I now think its possible. KOH is showing no signs of developing the late term legs that even bad epics usually show, and HOW would seem to be the more attactive of the two choices for overflow from 2 out of the three big guns.

I take back what I said. KOH loses 1,480 theatres this weekend, HOW loses over 1,100 as well. They will probably have similar numbers on Friday and KOH will barely get ahead over the weekend because movies like KOH usually have a better multiplier. Both will make less than $2 million over three day anyway.

That's a much better drop than I was expecting for Sith. I though it was going to drop between 14% and 17%.

Although RotS had a slightly smaller Wednesday drop than AotC, the holds were somewhat better in general for other movies yesterday versus the equivalent day of AotC's run. So I'd say this continues the trend of legs a bit worse than AotC's but better than Reloaded's.
