Hopefully I'm the first to post the crowd report of the French film "Un long dimanche de fiançialles" which is opening this Wednesday in Belgium and France.
Btw. it's the new film by the director of "Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain", starring Audrey Tautou.
:)

I see a huge opening in France, hehe.

I am kind of disappointed at the fact that SAW is getting mostly one screen :(

For Scott's theater, Ray will have 3 screens, 2 screens for Saw with an extra one at 11pm, and 1 screen for Birth. The Grudge remains in 3 screens during the day and 4 at night.

That is correct. When he says that Saw has an 11pm show, that means it is interlocked (Same goes for the Grudge). Hmmm. I wonder if Ray will surprize?

It'll be very interesting to see, between Saw and Ray, which one will come on top this weekend. Both are getting good-to-great reviews. The early grade at IMDb and RT for both are very good. Saw will be in more theaters, but Ray is getting more screens per theater. Ray is 2:30 hours long, while Saw is rated-R. This is Halloween weekend, which helps Saw, but the African American population has been underserved this year, and they are eagerly waiting for Ray as well.

Nah. My megaplex has (already) sold out the 8:00 PM show of Ray tonight, though, which surprised me.

2:15 PM Grandprairie 18

30 people in a 365 seater.
Pretty good for this time of the day. I say at least 5 mil. Friday.

Trailers:
The Devil's Rejects (Did not show much)
Blade: Trinity
Hide and Seek (looks like Godsend)
White Noise

Pretty good movie. Far superior to The Grudge. Would not call the movie scary. Best comparision is to Seven.

Ray
12:30 Century 25

200 seater about 80% full - Thats great for such a early time i wouldnt be surprised if this beat out Saw this weekend

Trailers:
Missed

Movie: Great movie, one of my favs this year, a little too long but its not a big deal. Great acting, great score, great story, overall great. Jamie Foxx really pushes this movie to the next level with his great performance, this guy is gonna be big if he keeps on picking the right roles.

80% for a 12:30 show is pretty high, isn't it? Maybe Ray will be #1.

It wont be #1 because of one problem, its only in 2,000 theaters, it'll need a fantastic theater avg.

Hope so. Everybody unanimously has said that Jamie Foxx has done a superb job and is the frontrunner for an Oscar Nom.
