Fahrenheit 9/11 this was a very surprising! but all the controversy got the movie the success The Passion of the Christ It was not surprised it pass the $200M but when it did $300 and more more, it was an amazing run, and as well the controversy got the success!! Shrek 2 this movie got my vote, never in a 1000 years ever think this movie will be third highest grossing movie of all time!! amazing run and $400M in 43 days!! ![]() |

So many this year.... I'd go for The Passion of the Christ with Napoleon Dynamite being a close second. |

I still think The Notebook is. We knew the potential of F9/11 after it won Cannes and got all the free ads time from the media. In term of how late we discover the leg of a film, it has to be The Notebook. Its opening was only decent, and its second weekend didn't show that strong a leg either, but then it just kept getting sub 20% drops all of a sudden. |

Definitely The Grudge for me. I expected it to be a success, with about a 20 - 25 million opening and about an 80 total. I never, ever expected it to open to 40 million, and actually increase on Saturday by 1.3 mil. In terms of legs, definitely The Notebook. Stuff like Shrek 2, The Passion, and so forth doesn't really surprise me, persay. I knew they'd be mega hits, they just... did more than what was expected. That's just mildly surprising to me. |

Tough one. Some major accomplishments this year, but I think The Passion of the Christ and The Grudge were big shockers. In terms of legs, definently The Notebook. Shrek 2 was a big surprise too, but people knew that it would pass $300 million anyways, just not $400 million. |

Has to be The Notebook. With its opening, I was expecting a final gross of about 35-40 million, but it just had the strongest legs ever. Mean Girls is a close second. This has definitely been a great year for Rachel McAdams. Her two movies this year have both grossed over $80 million. |

Definetly Farenheit 9/11. I mean, it was a documentry, and it was released in on 700 screens, and it made over 22 million in its opening weekend. That was one impossible feat. |
