Those numbers would mean Monster-in-Law plunged from $10M to $5M from Saturday, which I find unlikely.

MCN's estimates are always conversative and lower than BOM's.

MCN make their own estimates that sometimes differs slightly from the official studio estimates.

In this case they probably differ by two or three million for the openers.

That has to be underpredicted with huge drops on Sunday. At least the first two are light comedies I would actually see hlolding well on sunday. Even if these held though, they're miles better than I expected, and much stronger showing than last weekend. Congrats for a turn-around weekend. =D>
The minute people found out what the numbers for Mad Hot Ballroom and The Holy Girl were can they please post it? I can never find these things. [-o<

They have been doing it for quite some time.
BOM is pretty late today. Not even a few updates at a time.

They might be off. MIL would have to have a 50% drop to get a 5M Sunday.

Fantastic for Monster-in-Law. Given there is no other movie like it in the marketplace, it might function as this year's Notting Hill and make $75M overall.
Solid performances from Kicking & Screaming and Unleashed.
Amazing hold for Crash. There is a possibility of a total gross approaching $50M here.

That's a pretty big Sunday drop for The Interpreter. As we're going into the summer, Sunday's hold should be better now, so I think it's underestimated.

Awww. Quite a drop in per/theatre average from last weekend. I was hoping it would perform better under expansion. Doesn't look like it'll reach 1 million now.
Anyways, I'm surprised at Layer Cake. I saw the trailer for it only once, and posters only came up last week. That's a strong showing.
Lets see how Ballroom did. I feel its going to take this weeks (limited release) per/theatre ave easy. Nice performance and hold on Enron as well. That movie is going to keep climbing.
I think Fonda is going to do more movies after this. Sykes too. reviewers seem to think they were a highlight draw playing off eachother.

I hope so, they're the only real reason to watch the film.

Surprising weekend. Monster-in-Law did great, and Kicking and Screaming and Unleashed did some solid numbers. That drop for Crash is amazing. Also, House of Wax had a nice drop for its genre. Better than Kingdom of Heaven.
Nice weekend. Before the storm...

That is definitely an amazing drop for Crash. WOM must be spectacular for it, which is quite understandable.

Technically, they do. Even though it didn't *quite* hit $25M, you were pretty bang on.

Awesome for MONSTER-IN-LAW. Also doing really solid are KICKING AND SCREAMING and UNLEASHED.
HOUSE OF WAX had a pretty decent drop for the kind of movie it is, and it's a better drop than KINGDOM OF HEAVEN had.
CRASH had an amazing hold! Awesome!
Congrats to MILLION DOLLAR BABY for crossing 100 Million! It definitely deserves it!

At least I don't feel so bad about what I'm going to be predicting for Revenge of the Sith, and even if you and nobody else believes it, I do hope that you will consider it, and at least consider that I'll be pretty close if I'm a off the mark. Stay tuned! It won't be the ravings of a fanboy gone mad, it'll be objective.
