That's very high for Ep III and Batman Begins. Actually pretty high on everything except Bewitched, Fantastic Four, and Stealth.

They're not farfetched, at all.
In fact, given the fact that present conditions are setting up SW3 to mirror Shrek 2's performance (somewhat), I don't think it's too far-fetched.
But, the WOTW one is too high, I think, and ditto for Batman, which I think is overhyped at present (the trailer received a not-so enthusiastic reception from theatre auds I was a part of, heh).

Is it because of his Fantastic Four prediction?
I agree with him on quite a couple of movies. I think he has SW: ROTS pegged way too high. Same for Batman Begins.
F4 and Stealth are too low.

I think he is off on quite a few. Too high on his top 5, and too low on Fantastic Four, Stealth, and Bewitched. I also don't see Dark Water doing over 80 million. Sorry Jen.

Obviously too low on Fantastic Four and Stealth.
I think he is spot on on War of the Worlds and too high on SW: ROTS (even you have to admit that). Madagascar looks right on, probably even higher. The Longest Yard is about $30-40 million too high.
Dark Water will do well, it'll be the summer's big horror flick, I suppose. Should make at least $50 million, but probably not what he predicts.
Also, he estimated $31 million total for Doom. The movie is probably going to make around that in its opening weekend

It is based on a video game. I wouldn't throw that $31 million total out of the possiblities.

A video game that is way more popular than Resident Evil which took in $40 million and $51 million respectively. Besides that, this one has The Rock who has his own small fanbase. Should definitely cross $20 million in its opening weekend.

Those predictions aren't THAT bad. He went too high on Episode III (but, then again, who on this site hasn't?!). Also, I giggled at his War of the Worlds prediction, and the comment (no buzz yet) that went along with it.

I don't know who he is. I actually exchanged e-mails with him once. He's a prominent movie analyst/news hound on the net. Probably the second biggest "celebrity" after Harry Knowles.

Why?? It seems reasonable.. I can see SITH grossing over 400 Million.. This sucker is just TOO big and the difference between this and EPISODE I's hype is that SITH is actually getting damn good reviews while EPISODE I really didn't.. As for BATMAN BEGINS?? If it makes 230 Million, it'll be as successful as Burton's 1st BATMAN.. That's fine by me as long as it doesn't proceed to go downhill after BEGINS like the franchise started to when Schumacher took over..

I actually like his predictions as well. He is not going to get every one of them right of course, but who does. SW, Batman and WotW could do exactly what he says. I think these are quite realistic.

Mr. Poland, it's "inevitability," not "inevibility."
Unless you are making a joke about how Adam Sandler said "adaption" instead of 'adaptation," then your "crebility" is saved.
