I'm sort of starting to wonder about http://www.movietickets.com

Apparently you have to have an account to look at theater listings now? Also, every time I go to the website, it doesn't load completely, making it a complete pain in the ass. Anyone else having this problem?

No clue. I'm already a member, so I wouldn't know. I noticed they re-designed the whole site, though. It's been having problems; especially when I tried to purchase tickets for my dad last weekend.

I hate movietickets.com. Fandango is much more user-friendly.

I agree, the problem is that I go to an AMC theater, which is partnered with Movie Tickets, not Fandango.

I am having no problem with it. All I did was typed my Zip Code in the "Enter Your Location" and I got a list of their within the zip code (in a 15 mi radius). Did you try that?

Well Mindhunters is going the Assault on Precinct 13 route of being at the Lloyd Center, but not the Tigard 11. Unleashed is actually on the second most screens, but it has one screen instead of two on all of them, whereas Monster-in-Law and Kicking and Screaming go back and forth with one and two (some have them both on two, some have two Kicking 1 Monster like Tigard, none have two Monsters and 1 Kicking though).

At Scott's theater, Kicking & Screaming and Monster-in-Law both are on 3 screens, Unleashed is on 2, and Mindhunters is on 1.

The pattern is pretty clear and expected: The first two are having equally amount of the screens (mostly 2 per theater, some 3's and 1's), followed by Unleashed (mostly 1 with some 2's), then Mindhunters (almost all 1 screen).

To add on to that, Kingdom, House of Wax and XXX2 remain on 3, and Hitchhiker stays at 2. That's a very good sign for Monster and Law. Kicking and Screaming doesn't surprize me (though Daddy Day Care played on 4 screens). Looks like a bomb for mindhunters.

XXX2 is staying on 3!? Maybe you should rent out the space to homeless people so they'll have a roof over their head this weekend, because it would certainly be a better use of the space.

I felt so badly for this theatre I went to last night... they were showing Kung Fu Hustle, House of Wax, XXX2 and Kingdom of Heaven, the latter on three screens, all movies that are underperforming. They must have like no business right now. I wonder how they can survive.

Hey, anyone here live in a city that's taking up The Holy Girl this week? Its supposed to expand to select cities, and I don't know which. L.A. for sure, and some other un-named ones?

It'll be showing in three theaters here, one at Campbell, one at San Francisco, and one at Berkeley.

=D> Oh good. So three there, probably two in L.A. itself. Maybe even one in San Diego? On this end, I'm guess it would hit up Boston, which seems like a city that would be interested. Maybe Montreal. Following week i think toronto, chicago, philly, dc, seattle, etc, might get added. Sounds like someone finally got the smart release and promo schedule in. This looks like good strategic distribution.

Three theaters in L.A. as well: West Hollywood, Pasadena, and Santa Monica. Didn't find any in the other cities.

Guys, I am working early shift on Friday, so I'll keep you posted.

Also, I am working night shift on Thursday. It has been said that we are getting 7 prints of Star Wars (number of screens if still TBA, since we are not sure how much interlocks we will get).

Good, I might finally have somebody who agrees with me about how entertaining it is. :Jump: (or else  j/k)

I think monster in law is one of those movies much funnier if you see it with a full theater of laughing people.
