Will have starred in at least nine $200+ million domestic grossers in a ten-years-span. All of them mostly/partially set in space.

Is it wrong for me to be sexually attracted to her as the ever green Gamora?

Not at all.

Pointless thread since there's nothing to talk about. We all know that none of those $200m grossers had anything to do with her.

Sure I would, but he is usually the reason that people attend/don't attend movies. Saldana is just a nonentity.

Nobody knows who she is unless you say "blue chick from Avatar".

People only want to see black chicks when they hide their true race. :funny:

What do you mean by "never gonna happen"?

She's going to be set for like ten lifetimes regardless of whether people actually know who she is. Even when her career starts to slide in her 40's+, she'll probably dump her artist boyfriend/husband or whatever and shack up with a billionaire hedge fund manager like most actresses of that age do.

I've enjoyed her ever since Crossroads. ;)

At least she has more bankability than Sam Worthington, main star of Avatar. Despite making $2.8 ww I doubt 99% of people can even name him...

Post subject:  Re: Zoe Saldana

They both have 0% bankability. Just look at Colombiana versus Man on a Ledge.

Colombiana
$60m worldwide, $40m budget
-Opened in China and made $8m

Man on a Ledge
$42m worldwide, $42m budget
-Did not open in China

Pretty much identical. Neither film was impacted by its stars.

Develop into a star w/ real drawing power and public interest.

It's interesting. She's the black actress - yes, she is black and identifies as such - who has starred in the most blockbusters over the last 5 years, yet no one really seems to know or care about her. Some black actresses with fewer roles actually seem to have passionate fan bases, even though Hollywood won't cast them in blockbusters.

I guess Zoe lacks that elusive "IT".

But not all of them are set in space in their entirety (Star Trek isn't)

I think he meant that all films ever made are "set in space".

Blue chick from Avatar
Black chick from Star Trek
Green chick from Guardians.

All she needs now is a role in the Power Rangers reboot, and she'll have the most colorful resume.
