xXx: State of the Union Box Office Analysis
http://www.worldofkj.com/Zingaling-xXxBOA.php
Okay, it's probably going to be poorly written (because I suck at life...), so don't bother commenting on grammar.
And, you'll probably all disagree with my prediction, but it's mine, too!
Enjoy.

I like it and I pretty much agree with the prediction (I see an opening just a couple of millions lower, around $41 million, but the same multiplier). Well-written.
Let me just say two things:
1. Just for further analysis like this one: You repeat the title of the movie a bit too oft throughout the analysis. Try to replace it with something like "the sequel", "flick", "film", "movie", "action piece" etc. The English language is rich with synonyms.
2. When you talk about Ice Cube's potential, I'd also bring up both Barbershop movies.
Just minor points. That aside, I enjoyed it

Justas a matter of fact, I didn't like the first xXx movie, but I feel like this can be better. The trailers are promising

I think the trailers look a lot better for this than xXx did.
There's definitely going to be a lot more action scenes, and a lot better, too. It should be a great start to the summer.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0329774/usercomments couple reviews saying how lame the action is and how little there is, compared to the first.

The problem with xxx2 is that overthrowing the government, no matter how its executed, just isn't very exciting.

What makes you think there's going to be more action scenes? Or that they'll be better?

The trailer. It's more action-packed, though there's a possibility that the trailer shows all the scenes.

I'll say it hear, mark my words. This is gonna be almost as bad as Torque, the only reason it wont be as bad is because of that huge budget, so theres most likely gonna be some better action scenes.
Heres another pretty funny review http://aintitcool.com/display.cgi?id=19978

anything can be an improvement over xXx which really did suck.
then again, ice cube just doesn't look the part. I'm not seeing over a 40 million for this one but meh. Your multiplier is great though!

Well, this one is definitely going to be more frontloaded. Quality-wise, I'm not sure. Reviews will obviously suck.

The trailer makes it seem that way, at least to me. Then again, I rewatched the xXx trailer and it seemed very action-packed as well.
By the way, just to fill up yor signature, Snrub let me say:
Right on, Snrub!

I think this will make between $60-80 million total, depending on WOM.

I think it'll pass $60 million in about 8-9 days.

WOM won't matter for this movie. At all. It'll be frontloaded, and it'll drop a minimum of 55% on the second weekend.

I'm not anticipating this at all. Looks shitty.
Hell, i haven't even watched the first one yet...
Will open in the $35m-$45m range and have bad legs.

Sorry that I missed this, Zingy, I was a little busy over the weekend. There's nothing wrong with the writing, you did a good job. I wish you would have run that 45 million opening prediction by me, as I would have tried my best to talk you out of it. #-o That final total is way high, too. You really expect this to break the April record opening?
One good thing can come out of this. WHEN you change your name (When looking at it from an outside perspective, there is just no way to take anybody named Zingaling seriously), nobody will associate your new identity with that xXx prediction, so there is a bright side to it.

Ouch.
We forgot.
Eagle and I took a decision to let people keep their own predictions.
Eagle and I are currently working something out (as usual, awaiting something from a third party) that should help users understand all articles are written by different authors and at the end of the day, the only one that counts is what Scott has to say before the start of the weekend : )

I'm almost hoping that he's right so that he doesn't have to take the ribbing about putting it on the front page. I'm sure we'll all miss the mark sometime or another, but it would really suck to miss on the first one. If you do miss, Zingy, don't let it discourage you from your next analysis, no matter how much teasing you suffer.
And change that name.
