The 0.8 could turn out to be 0.845 for Sin City. It's certainly not a good Thursday and not what I expected. Still today it should increase more than what last Friday increased, 180% I expect, and that will result in a $2.4M Friday and around $8M for the weekend.

Probably again like last week. BOM haven't been good in estimating Sin City, and when they get total actual, will modify all days again.

Sahara continues to do quite well. It shouldn't have trouble breaking 10M. Fever Pitch, on the other hand, needs a big Friday increase to get close to 7M for the weekend.

Don't know for weekdays, but yes, for friday and saturday their estimates were usually more wrong than BOM ones.

Well, 50 First Dates, Along Came Polly and Hitch all increased 200+% on their first cuple of Friday's. I expect a 230% increase.

Second week in a row that Sin City estimates were revised downward. Interesting... It doesn't really affect my expectations for the weekend, though.

Still OK for Sin City. I still expect it to increase 180% today to $2.4M. KB Vol 2 had a weekend multiplier of 3.6 in its third weekend after the 3.2 the previous weekend. Sin City had 3.0 last weekend, so give it a 3.4 this time, we have 8M.

BTW, pretty much all films had abnormally high increase last Thursday, maybe due to some school closing, and we aren't observing that this week, so I expect Friday's increases to be generally higher, especially when the effect from theater loss will be quite small this weekend.

Yep, as always - you make good observations! We could see some 200% increases this weekend...

Studios are idiots for not releasing a kid movie right now. It would be the only big family movie out right now, since families are having to go to Sahara for entertainment.

I often wonder who runs these studios ...
But then again ... many of the people on these boards are among the most knowledgable in the industry. I am sure the people running the studios have many obstacles to face.

Don't underestimate the competition Sin City will get from The Amityville Horror. Both will attract teens and The Amityville Horror opens very wide while Sin City probably lost quite a couple of screens this weekend. I see a Friday increase of around 165%, similar to last week, leading to a weekend of around $7.5-7.6 million.
